Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Exciting Opportunity to Work with pupils with ASD / Mild SEN in Leighton Buzzard

Are you an experienced LSA who is looking for a new exciting role in Leighton Buzzard? Do you want to make a positive difference every day?

Tradewind Recruitment are working alongside a well run and supportive Primary school in Leighton Buzzard to source a number of LSA’s to work closely with SEN pupils starting ASAP. These pupils have various mild SEN requirements and need dedicated LSA’s to support them in some classes in a mainstream school setting.

• Reliable – children with SEN rely on familiarity and need the same staff each day to ensure maximum progress is made

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to pupils with SEN needs and support with classroom activities
• Assist in implementing personalised learning plans to suit the pupil’s needs
• Support with social interactions and the development of social skills
• Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to assess the progress and attainment
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or LSA or those with experience supporting young people or adults with autism
• Or are highly educated and looking for a post in which to start a career within education
• Possess a genuine passion for supporting young learners
• Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
• Show adaptability, patience and a positive attitude
• Are committed to continuous professional development and learning
