Learning Support Assistant
Tier 4 Position up to £14,530 per annum
Permanent, up to 35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
Learning Support Assistants are required within the Curriculum Services team atCity College Norwich. This is a permanent post, up to 35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year and there is an opportunity for part time and evening hours.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the college in one of our specialist areas and rated outstanding by Ofsted. PAL students come to learn and gain independence skills, accessing the latest technology and facilities. We have purpose-built learning environments, with specialist sensory area, a rebound therapy room and two personal care suites.
The role involves working with students with profound and highly complex needs and the successful applicant will be asked to offer personal intimate care, feeding, medication and participate in activities such as swimming and outdoor trips (post covid). Experience and knowledge in both care and education settings would be an advantage.
Applicants should have patience, great people skills, and a desire to support young people withcomplex additional needs andlearning difficulties and or disabilities.
Applicants must have or be willing to undertake the Level 3 Certificate in Learning Support or equivalent programme within 2 years, where we provide the training. Applications welcome from those new to support but looking for a career in supporting students with a learning disability or difficulty.
