Lecturer, 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£28,973 – £34,606 per annum
Sessional Lecturer, Part-time or Full-time hours available
£20.63 per hour plus £4.84 per hour holiday pay
In 2016 City College Norwich launched the new Information Technology and Computing provision and it has grown healthily over the past 5 years. We now offer BTEC courses at Level 2 and Level 3 whilst also being an early adopter of the new Digital T Level. In September 2021 we will also begin the delivery of 2 more T Levels in Digital Support Services and Digital Business Services alongside the T Level Transitions programme as well.
Due to this expansion, we are seeking to increase the teaching team and are looking to recruit well-qualified, experienced, and inspirational lecturers. The successful applicants will bring their Digital knowledge, teaching experience and contribute enthusiastically to the planning, preparation, assessment, and delivery of our Digital courses.
In particular, we are looking for applicants who are confident and competent in the teaching of a range of disciplines including IT support, hardware/software installation and build, cable management, digital infrastructure, data management and data analytics, digital security, software development and can use a variety of languages (C++, Python and Java for example).
You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that the requirements of the qualifications outlined in the specification/s are met and you will be able to deliver high quality planned sessions to students which are active and engaging, motivating, provide high levels of challenge and support progress through ongoing feedback in a variety of forms to ensure that students can achieve their full potential and high grades.
In addition to the planning and teaching of our Digital courses, the successful applicants will use their professional skills and industrial experiences to support our Digital students with developing their employability and transferable soft skills they will need to progress into their chosen employment route, apprenticeship or university course.
