?The School of Engineering is looking for a Plumbing & Domestic Gas Lecturer who can impart their essential skills within both a workshop and classroom environment.
We are looking for someone with excellent practical vocational skills, backed up by the required theoretical knowledge to teach our apprentices for their day release on phase 3 /4 of their program. You must be passionate about the trade and able to prepare our students for the world of work.
Alongside this you will need to keep detailed records and track outcomes using the appropriate college systems.
The ideal candidate will have relevant Level 3 Plumbing & domestic gas industry qualifications.
Experience of teaching apprentices along with an assessor’s qualification or verifier’s qualification would be advantageous; but if you are willing to complete this training we would still like to hear from you.
This position would be suitable for someone with a flair for passing on their knowledge to others and the enthusiasm to support our learners through their qualifications and apprenticeships.
You will have an ability to promote, support and embed English and maths skills within planning and delivery of all teaching.
This is a full-time post working 37 hours a week, which may include evening work based at our industry specific facility in Hemel Hempstead.
