Mr Giulio Garaffa is a full time Consultant Urologist at St George’s University Hospital, London, with a special interest in Male factor infertility, erectile dysfunction and genital reconstruction.

After completing his undergraduate and postgraduate training (first class degree with honours) at University of Trieste (Italy), Mr Garaffa completed a 3 year-fellowship in Andrology and Complex Male Genital Reconstruction at the University College London Hospitals before being appointed as a substantive Consultant Urologist in 2011.

He has subsequently obtained a PhD in Biotechnologies of Human Reproduction at the University “La Sapienza” of Rome in 2015 discussing a thesis entitled “genetic anomalies in the infertile male” under the supervision of Professor Jannini and has obtained the Habilitation as Full Professor in Urology in Italy in 2022.

Mr Garaffa is one of the leading experts in andrology and male genital reconstruction, has won several awards for his research and has been finalist at the Matula Award for the most promising Urologist below the age of 40 in 2016.

Over his long career he has been reviewer and editor for various international peer reviewed journals and has co-authored more than 150 original articles and book chapters. He has also contributed to the production of the guidelines for the management of Peyronie’s disease for the International Society of Sexual Medicine in 2016 and for the European Society of Sexual Medicine in 2022.

He has often been invited to perform complex procedures as live surgery in international masterclasses and is regularly invited to lecture in Andrology and Male Genital Reconstruction as a visting professor.

All of our treatments take place at our beautiful boutique premises in Chelsea. We have six consulting rooms and five operating rooms, as well as a dedicated pre and post-operative suite, and a full team of specialist nursing staff.

We were founded in 2004 by world renown plastic surgeon Mr Bryan Mayou, best known for his pioneering work in the area of liposuction, lasers and microvascular surgery. We continue to collaborate with pioneers in our field.
