A PRU / Pupil Referral Unit are desperately seeking a positive, enthusiastic Learning Mentor with exceptional behaviour management skills.

The PRU / Pupil Referral Unit is based in Barnstaple and offers an alternative curriculum to students aged who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. This can be due to several factors, including trauma, SEMH / Social Emotional Mental Health issues, Autistic Spectrum Conditions / ASC and particularly autism with Pathological Demand Avoidance profile / PDA profiles

As a Learning Mentor, it is essential that you have the following:

• A good standard of education and can identify areas of improvement required when working on a 1:1 basis
• You need to have the desire to help pupils overcome barriers and achieve the best results
• You will be supporting across a range of vocational courses, such as Construction, Hospitality and Outdoor Education activities
• The roles available vary between 3-5 days per week

All our staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you re paying the right level of Tax and National Insurance.
