Randstad Education is recruiting on behalf of our partnership schools in Lambeth & Wandsworth. We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants or Nursery Nurses to meet the demand for supply/day to day cover. The Teaching Assistant will need experience working within the classroom setting within a similar job role, and will need to hold a CACHE Level 3.

This is a day to day position, with a view of becoming short or long term should the individual be suitable. This role is paid weekly at a rate of £70-90 per day depending on experience. This is term time only.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils in EYFS – KS2 with their learning, on a whole group, as well as 1:1/small group basis
• Using excellent behaviour management skills with a firm but fair approach
• Planning for your individual pupils/small group sessions
• Encouraging the development of the student’s learning within the classroom
• Liaising with the class teacher, as well as SENCO where needed

Requirements for the candidate:

• Have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant within the classroom setting
• Have an understanding (or experience) of behaviour management strategies
• Holding a Level 3 in Childcare (CACHE) above or equivalent
• Have a valid, enhanced DBS (or be willing to complete and pay for one through Randstad)
