Nurture Teacher job in Swindon – permanent – immediate start – SEN teaching job
Your new school
An SEN school in Swindon are looking to hire a Nurture Teacher to start as soon as possible. The school cater for 11-19 year old’s with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social Communication Interaction Difficulties (SCID). The school itself is under 5 years old and was purpose-built, meaning it has a fresh and bespoke feel which leads to a really positive working environment.
Your new role
You will teach students within the school while leading and managing a team of classroom assistants, as well as being involved in school development work. You will co-operate with specialists from outside agencies to provide an effective multi-agency service and prepare reports on the needs of individual students. You will be responsible for a Form, and will undertake a full-time commitment with students who are diagnosed with Autism and/or Social Communication and Interaction Difficulties often combined with challenging behaviour.
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), have experience of teaching or working in an SEND setting or with SEND students in a mainstream setting, and be confident in inspiring and motivating students that are disengaged from education.
