Supply Desk are seeking outreach support workers for a Special Educational Needs School in Portsmouth

Starting from September 2024

Hours: Full time

Pay: up to £13 per hour

A varied and exciting support role is on offer for a local SEND school in Portsmouth. We are looking for a teaching assistant who is happy to journey out of the classroom to support children in their own home environments. This would be working with a range of children and making a rel difference to their educational needs.

Job Description:

• Desire to work throughout Key stage 2,3,and 4
• Desire to support children with SEMH, ASC and ADHD needs
• Hand delivering packs of work to children s home addresses
• Be able to support children with the work provided
• Liaise closely with parents and guardians
• Full time role with the opportunity of a permanent contract
• Location: Close to central Portsmouth
• Start Date: September 2024
• Contract Length: Long Term Potential to become permanent
• Hours: full time

Individual Profile:

• A nurturing and caring nature
• GCSE Maths and English to A- C grade
• Experience of working with additional needs (desirable)
• Passionate, enthusiastic and resilient individual
• Adaptable and sensitive when dealing with challenging situations
• First Aid trained or be willing to be trained
• Have access to your own car with a clean driving license
