Part-Time Teacher Training Officer (Fixed-Term)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £25,280.00 – £28,045.00 pro rata

Duration: 12 months
This is a great opportunity to lead the development of a centrally administered teacher training programme that will build confidence and action in teachers. You will support teachers to deliver more and more impactful activity for pupils that deepens their connection to nature and helps them take action to protect and enhance it. This particular contract is for 12 months, for 22.5 hours per week.
What’s the role about?
This role is about the development and delivery of new and existing teacher CPD offers to cohorts of teachers in a way that is effective, impactful, and inspiring.
You will be supporting the delivery of an existing teacher training partnership project called ‘Meadowsong’, which uses music and art to inspire children in England about nature and share this inspiration with their local communities.
You will also be developing pilots for new teacher CPD initiatives across the UK, ensuring maintenance of the training programme, adapting it for the country/area it is delivered in, also ensuring it meets curricula and teacher needs.
You will need to work with our social scientists and relevant others to agree a methodology for measuring impact and also implement monitoring and evaluation regimes that support the collection of schools, teachers and connection to nature data that will inform the development and improvement of our offer.
You should be able to use research & insight and engage teachers to help co-create content to ensure it is relevant and supportive.
You will also need to lead, develop and organise a team of volunteers who are capable of delivering training.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
Training skills and experience, online and face to face.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience building strong working relationships and be able to inspire others.
An understanding of behaviour change (these skills will be focused at developing teachers who are more likely to implement and use the training)
Highly proficient in MS Office systems
Experience in managing projects effectively and making strategic links with partners who will add value to what we deliver.
Understanding of the needs, pressures and structures that teachers operate within
Understanding the school and national curricula frameworks.
Desirable skills, experience and qualifications:
Experience of using a project management framework
Experience of managing and working with volunteers
A QTS qualification or equivalent
