We are currently looking for a passionate PE Teacher for children aged 11-18, with mental health and trauma-based needs, to work at a SEMH School in Surrey.
For the right character, Unqualified Teacher will also be considered
Your enthusiasm for planning and delivering exciting and imaginative lessons will inspire pupils to learn and achieve the very best outcomes, educationally as well as for their social and emotional development.
You must be someone who can take the National curriculum and examination courses and bring them alive in a way that both engages and motivates our pupils. You will have experience working with young people with SEMH and complex needs and understand what approaches work well and how building positive relationships are key to the work.
As well as being a PE Teacher, you will be instrumental in nurturing them and supporting these vulnerable and at-risk students pastorally. Many students have been exposed to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and need a ‘constant’, positive role model in their life. Could this be you?
This PE Teacher role is open to people from a Primary or Secondary teaching background, or a SEN / SEMH teaching background. For the right character, an Unqualified Teacher may also be considered.
Requirements for PE Teacher Role:
Experience delivering PE Lessons
Experience working with children with SEMH needs
High level of subject knowledge
Experience with planning lessons
