Personal Assistant to Professor Polly Roy and Professor Anil Koul (0.8 FTE) £23,960 to £25,853 per annum, pro rata. Ref: ITD-DIB-2023-03 We are seeking to appoint a Personal Assistant to support Professor Polly Roy and Professor Anil Koul at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine for four days per week (0.8FTE in total with a split of 0.6FTE for Professor Roy and 0.2FTE for Professor Koul). The post holder will act as a first point of contact for Professor Roy and will also undertake duties such as helping with online manuscript submissions, dealing with correspondence, taking care of claiming forms for her travel expenses and developing a good understanding of policies and procedures to ensure the office runs smoothly. For Professor Koul, the post holder will be the London contact, ensuring his monthly visits to the School from Belgium run smoothly and booking rooms/reimbursing expenses. The post holder will also work with the Department Administrator to produce the Department Newsletter (monthly). The successful applicant will be educated to A Level (minimum of 2 at Grade C or above) or equivalent, have demonstrable experience of working as a Personal Assistant with a high workload showing ability to deal with changing deadlines and priorities, have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and the internet, especially for formatting documents, grant applications and CV. Further particulars are included in the job description. The post is part-time at 0.8 FTE and funded until 31st January 2026. Salary is on the Professional Support Grade 2 scale in the range £23,960 – £25,853 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff.
