An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Plumbing & Gas lecturer/ assessor to join the brand new Construction Skills Centre in Bicester. Working as part of small, enthusiastic and highly-committed team you will be responsible for delivering teaching and assessment to level 3 Plumbing and Gas apprentices in the classroom and workshop and will also carry out assessments in the workplace. Teaching, training and assessment work will also be required in our ACS Gas Centre.
Our new centre is focussed on delivering practical skills training of the very highest quality through close partnership working with employers. You will need to have the confidence and credibility to deliver first class customer service, as well as outstanding teaching and assessment. In return, you’ll get to focus on teaching small class sizes, and will receive fantastic support from our award-winning Teaching Skills Academy to develop your teaching skills,or can join our Leadership Development Academy if you are thinking about progressing to management in the future.
The post holder will be based at Bicester and must also be able to visit employer sites to carry out work-based assessment.
This is a full time, permanent role, although part time working could be considered. If you are an experienced and qualified Plumbing & Gas lecturer/ assessor looking to be part of a successful new venture, then this really is the opportunity for you!
This role may also be eligible for the ‘Taking Teaching Further (TTF)’ programme, which supports industry professionals coming to teach in further education. The support which could be provided through the TTF programme includes enrolment on to a 2 year, Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training (DET) and an initial reduction in teaching workload
