Role Overview: We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Part-Time Teaching Assistants in the PMLD department. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work 1 to 5 days a week, providing crucial support for sickness cover and day-to-day requirements. Positions are available for both primary and secondary levels.

Responsibilities:

1. Assistive Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with PMLD, ensuring their individual needs are met.
2. Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with the teaching staff to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment for students.
3. Personal Care: Support students with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
4. Adaptability: Be prepared to work across primary and secondary levels, contributing to the holistic development of students.
5. Communication: Maintain effective communication with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to student well-being and progress.
6. Behavioural Support: Implement behaviour management strategies to create a positive and respectful atmosphere within the classroom.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience working in a SEN environment, particularly with PMLD students, is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of the classroom.
• Understanding of and commitment to safeguarding principles.

Working Hours:

• Part-time, flexible schedule: 1 to 5 days a week (to be discussed during the interview).
