Job Description:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with complex needs? The lovely, forward thinking school is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team in January 2024. As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the unique opportunity to work with a wonderful Key Stage 2 (KS2) class, comprised of 5 students and a collaborative team of adults!

Responsibilities:

• Provide general support to the KS2 class, contributing to the creative and inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with the class Teacher and fellow team members to implement engaging and tailored educational activities.
• Support the diverse needs of students with a variety of complex needs, fostering their personal and academic growth.
• Encourage creativity, resilience, and a positive mindset within the classroom.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).

Requirements:

• Passion for working with students with special educational needs, and a desire to pursue a rewarding career in SEN.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
• Enthusiasm for fostering creativity and innovation in the learning environment.
