A popular primary school based in Leeds are seeking a special needs teaching assistant to support pupils during lesson times. The school are wanting individuals who have strong behaviour management skills and good knowledge of SEN needs within school. The ideal candidate will: Have previous experience supporting teaching and learning or supporting pupils Have good knowledge of SEN Needs particularly at primary age Be confident to deliver activities 1 to 1 and a small group basis Have a DBS on the update service Your responsibilities will include: Classroom and individual support Organisation of resources and classroom aids Engaging pupils into their learning Supporting behaviour and emotional support through activities and creating a close relationship Some break/lunch time supervisionWorking for Prospero Teaching you can expect to receive the following: – A competitive salary depending on experience (AWR applies after a 12 week period) Working with a team of dedicated and friendly consultants Professional and organised structure 24 hour service A rewarding teaching environment Professional career development Prospero Teaching is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children therefore all applicants are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and full referencing prior to work.
