• Qualified teacher status

Experience

• Teaching experience
• Experience of working at a whole-school level
• Involvement in self-evaluation and development planning
• Experience of conducting training/leading INSET

Skills and knowledge

• Sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
• Understanding of what makes ‘quality first’ teaching, and of effective intervention strategies
• Ability to plan and evaluate interventions
• Data analysis skills and the ability to use data to inform provision planning
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build effective working relationships
• Ability to influence and negotiate
• Good record-keeping skills

What the school offers its staff

Our Newham Primary School is a growing school in East London with 560 pupils on roll, ranging from Reception to Year 6. We are also part of a small Multi Academy Trust.

We immerse children in the creative and performing arts to enrich teaching and learning in the early development of language, reading, writing and mathematics skills. We provide outstanding education, focusing strongly on English, Mathematics, Science and the creative and performing arts using an engaging curriculum, inspiring teachers and excellent learning resources to help pupils to enjoy and succeed in learning.
