PRU Teacher Long-term role, undertaking full teaching responsibilities Dynamic SEMH school located in Tamworth, Staffordshire PRU Teacher role, to start immediately £28,000 – £40,625 per annum, pro rataThe PRU Teacher Role:As an PRU Teacher at this school, you will be taking on the full PRU Teacher responsibilities, including planning all lessons, marking, and assessing your pupils. This also includes taking part in wider-school activities such as parents’ evenings and school trips, which make learning more engaging. You will be teaching a varied timetable of subjects, depending on your specialisms and the needs of the school at the time. You will be asked to provide PPA cover for some subjects, in these instances planning will be done for you.The PRU Teacher:To be eligible for this PRU Teacher opportunity, you must be a qualified teacher with experience working in an SEMH setting, such as a Pupil Referral Unit or an Alternative Provision. It is important that you have good general curriculum knowledge, and can demonstrate strong results in your subject specialism(s). It is crucial that you are a PRU Teacher with excellent behaviour management skills, a strong, resilient personality that can communicate effectively, and have a good understanding of SEMH needs and SEN.The School:This Pupil Referral Unit located in Tamworth is looking for a PRU Teacher to help support their KS3 and KS4 pupils, who have left mainstream education due to challenging behaviour, SEMH needs and SEN.
