The Headteacher is looking for an inspiring and self-motivated Reception Teacher to join their dynamic and enthusiastic team. The position is due to start April 2021 for the remainder of the academic year. There may be the option for this role, or a similar role to continue in September 2021.
The school is well known in the local community and has an excellent reputation for the high quality education provided and the work done to support the wider local community. The school has an established leadership team and Headteacher who are determined to drive up standards further still. Pupils come from a range of backgrounds and parents are very supportive and there is a lovely, community atmosphere here.
The school has a traditional feel and is well resourced for indoor and outdoor learning for every year group.
The school is seeking a Reception Teacher who possesses:
Recent experience of teaching in Reception
A sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Curriculum
Effective strategies to include and meet the needs of all pupils
Solid and recent experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
A very good knowledge of teaching phonics
A flexible approach to work, with good team skills, excellent spoken and written English and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
The core duties of this Reception Teacher role are:
Take responsibility for planning, preparing, marking and teaching a class of Reception pupils
Manage pupil progress socially and academically whilst tracking the progress of individual pupils within the class
Manage and lead a team of experienced support staff.
The school is located in North West London, Brent. There is a London Underground station nearby and a on street parking available.

Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
