The Online School

Amidst the global pandemic and mass disruption, The Online School was established. A dedicated team of education recruitment professionals banded together, recruiting qualified volunteer teachers right across the UK to deliver free, live online lessons for Key stages 1-4 for all core subjects. The Online School has been an instant success with over a thousand registrations within the first month of operation and since exceeded over 3000 registrations. Becoming powerhouse in the Edtech world, The Online School has also reached further afield attracting students from over 15 countries including the USA and UAE. Our dedicated team have taken it upon themselves to reach out to communities globally to those children most vulnerable and in need. The Online School has nurtured these connections from remote villages in Africa to a Syrian refugee camp in Greece. These established partnerships are a clear reflection of The Online School’s ethos, “all children have the right to education”.

The Candidate

The candidate must have excellent IT skills as well with the experience of supporting children and young, desirable. The chosen candidate will support a qualified teacher to deliver live lessons online via The Online School’s bespoke platform, both in groups and 1:1.

Requirements:

· Excellent IT skills

· Excellent verbal English communication skills, both written and verbal

· Able to problem solves under pressure.

· Support the teacher in online classroom management.

· Knowledge of safeguarding children online. Training available.

· Must have access to the computer, microphone, webcam and reliable internet connection/speeds – previous online teaching not essential.

You will be joining a supportive staff team, working towards raising student attainment through outstanding teaching and learning. As an Online Classroom Assistant and Moderator at The Online School, you can expect to receive ongoing support and training.
