Exciting Opportunity: Temporary School Administrator (Enhanced DBS Required)

Are you a skilled Administrator with an Enhanced DBS seeking an ongoing, temporary position? Our client is actively seeking a meticulously organised individual to join their team as a Temporary School Administrator at a well-respected educational institution in Lanchester, Durham. This is a full-time, term-time only, office-based temporary role. The contract is scheduled to commence ideally on 8th January 2024, and will continue on an ongoing temporary basis, subject to periodic reviews based on business needs.

Job Details:

• Job Title: Temporary School Administrator (Enhanced DBS required)
• Location: Lanchester, with free on-site parking
• Start date: January 2024
• Hours: 08:00 – 16:00, Monday – Friday
• Hourly Pay: £11 – £12 per hour, paid weekly via Office Angels
• Term time only!

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the school, including managing phone calls, emails, and inquiries from students, parents, and staff.
• Answer the main office telephone, respond to queries, and take messages.
• Support parents, visitors, and students.
• Manage manual and computerised record/information systems.
• Organise and maintain the school’s filing system, ensuring proper storage and retrieval of documents.
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, admissions, and data entry.
• Assist in organising school events, meetings, and schedules.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure the smooth operation of daily administrative tasks.

Requirements:

• Previous administration experience, ideally within an educational environment, is highly advantageous.
• Enhanced DBS check is mandatory due to the nature of the role.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
