Eko Trust
We are recruiting three School Operations Managers for three of our East London schools – Gainsborough School in West Ham, E15, Hackney New Primary School in Hackney and Pathways School, currently based in Barking. All schools are part of Eko Trust, a successful, growing multi-academy trust of seven schools in East London and East Anglia.
These exciting new roles have been created to support the Headteacher of each school with the effective, efficient and compliant operation of the school. This is a great opportunity to be part of a school leadership team and play an important role in enabling the school to make the very best of all its resources for the benefit of all its pupils and manage a considerable part of the school’s budget. You will also have particular responsibility for managing the HR, administrative, facilities and resource functions in line with school policies, procedures and ways of working.
We are looking for dynamic individuals, with experience of working in an office environment at a senior level, budget management, leading and motivating other staff and managing change, within or outside of an education environment. You should be able to contribute strategically but also enjoy playing a hands-on role, supporting operational delivery through their teams. You should have a good knowledge of financial regulation, excellent attention to detail and literacy and numeracy skills. A personal motivation to improve outcomes for children and young adults by being part of a dynamic, caring school team is essential.
You will be well organised, will effectively prioritise your time to balance your focus across all functions and will actively contribute to strategic decision making and planning within the school. As well as supporting the Headteacher you will also build successful working relationships with the Trust’s central HR, facilities, finance and operation teams as well as peers from other Trust schools. You have professional integrity, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage and communicate effectively in a wide range of situations with colleagues at all levels.
This is a full-time, term-time only plus 2 weeks (during school holidays) role. If you think this sounds like an exciting opportunity and believe you can make a difference, we would like to hear from you.
Eko Trust currently has over 400 staff across its seven schools and offers excellent professional development and career opportunities, especially as the Trust is planning to grow significantly over the next two years.
