The Role:
We are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled School Chemistry/Science Technician to join our vibrant educational community.
You will be an integral part of our science department, supporting the delivery of high-quality science education. You will work closely with our team of teachers to prepare, manage, and maintain equipment and materials for science experiments and demonstrations.
While prior experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite for this role. The ideal candidate will possess technical proficiency to effectively meet the demands of our Department.
Your primary responsibilities will involve supporting the practical aspects of our science curriculum, ensuring that experiments and demonstrations are both effective and safe. Your skills in solution preparation, coupled with an understanding of laboratory safety, will be crucial in maintaining a productive and secure learning environment.

The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday to Friday, up to 30 hours a week during term time. Flexible hours will be considered.
Extra Information:
As a Chemistry Technician you will be working on a regular basis in a school in a role which gives opportunity for contact with children. As such, you will be in regulated activity and an enhanced DBS check (which includes children’s barred list information) will be required in advance of appointment.
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. As with all College staff members, you will therefore be responsible for providing a safe environment in which children can learn.
