Secondary – Head of Art and Design Full Time

I am currently working with a school who is looking for a dynamic and talented teacher to join their Art department to deliver and lead the Art and Design curriculum up to KS5. The school is part of an inclusive academy with an outstanding reputation with a high percentage of students achieving high grades and going to top universities.

The department is well equipped with interactive whiteboards in all rooms, iPads and visualisers to support and enhance learning opportunities.

As a HOD of Art you will:

• provide high quality teaching to promote good progress and outcomes by students.
• Be able to mentor and support other staff members in delivers the curriculum
• Assess and create an inclusive and engaging curriculum for all
• Actively support the vision, ethos and policies of the school
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children you teach and come into contact with in school.
• Follow and overachieve against the teachers standards.
• Have excellent subject knowledge and be able to inspire the students to actively highly against the expectations of school and department.

To be considered for this post you must:

• Have Qualified Teacher Status
• Have an outstanding knowledge of the subject area and the national curriculum and teach students of all ability and learning needs to a high standard.
• Have a DBS on the update service.
• Be able to teach Art and Design and contribute to other areas of the Art Department
• Be available full time
