Secondary School Science Technician
Are you passionate about science and education? Do you have experience in preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment and materials? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the role of school science technician.
As a school science technician, you will be responsible for:• Setting up, cleaning, and storing laboratory equipment and apparatus.• Preparing and disposing of chemicals and biological specimens.• Ensuring health and safety standards are met in the laboratory.• Ordering, checking, and maintaining stock and inventory of laboratory supplies.• Providing technical support and guidance to teachers and students.• Keeping records of laboratory activities and resources.
To be successful in this role, you will need:• A minimum of GCSE or equivalent in science subjects.• A relevant qualification or experience in laboratory work.• Good communication and organisational skills.• A keen interest in science and education.• A flexible and adaptable attitude.• A willingness to learn new skills and update your knowledge.
