Axcis are recruiting for a SEND TA to join an SEMH school in the Barnstable area.
The role starts after the Easter break and would be to work with secondary aged pupils with an EHCP of SEMH on a full time basis through until the end of the academic year.
The school is a purpose built SEND school and supports pupils who aren’t able to be best supported in a mainstream environment. The school follows the national curriculum but adapts the teaching style to best support the pupils. The ideal candidate needs to be empathetic, engaging and have experience supporting SEMH pupils in a school environment.
if you have at least 1 years experience supporting SEMH pupils and a background in supporting challenging behaviour particularly in PRU settings. Should you have positive restraint training this would also be beneficial.
