Empowering Learning are delighted to be looking to secure an SEN English Teacher with responsbilties for one of our partner schools. The school provides education for children and young people with autism and other complex needs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver and assess outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable autistic young people to learn
Manage a staff team of teachers and LSAs
Inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, parents and other professionals
Engage in whole school activities as required by the Headteacher
Plan and lead children in off-site enrichment activitiesWhat you need
Proven ability that you are an excellent teacher with a lively and effective classroom teaching style, which engages and motivates young people
Previous managerial experience
Experience of working with children with SEN, SEMH or ASC
An excellent knowledge of the specialist curriculum area and how it may be effectively taught.
Experience of delivering English at KS3/4 (GCSE and functional skills).
