The School and Role

This new, SEN School based in Leeds are looking to appoint a passionate Learning Support Assistant with experience to teach in a small group and 1;1 with learners who have SEN. You would be working with the other members of staff to get the school started and help the children settle into a new school. This SEN Learning Support Assistant will have the opportunity to work their way up in the school. Working in this SEN School as part of an established team, you will be required to work on a therapeutic wrap-around support and work on the school s curriculum model.

Requirements

The desired SEN Learning Support Assistant will have;

• Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
• Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to implement personalized learning plans.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of sensory and behavioral strategies.
• Monitoring and recording student progress, communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
• Ability to work as a team in a new school and help boost the start of the academic year
