ASEND tuition supports SEND pupils and continues their learning while they cannot access school or or don’t have a school place. We are looking for an SEN Teacher or Tutor with Key Stage 1/2 experience to support an autistic pupil in High Wycombe.
What ASEND Tuition Is
We are looking for inspirational SEN teachers and tutors to support children and young people with SEND in High Wycombe. We support pupils with SEND who are not attending school for a number of reasons including Mental Health issues, or lack of a suitable school place. We aim to prepare them for a return to mainstream or special school.
We tutor pupils of all ages face-to-face within school times, and in a range of settings including homes, schools, community centres and out in the community. Our tuition is completely pupil-focused and can target developing early learning, following an academic curriculum, providing emotional support or developing life skills. We need a wide range of tutors to support our pupils to meet their specific needs and ensure good progress. We work very hard to match each tutor with pupils who can most benefit from their skills and expertise.
About The Pupil
We are looking for a tutor to support a 16-year-old young pupil in High Wycombe. He is autistic with a language delay and is currently working at primary school levels. He also experiences anxiety and struggles with concentration. Despite these challenges, he is a friendly and energetic pupil who has a range of interests including; crafts, sports and gardening. We would love to have someone who can tailor his learning around his interests.
A tutor who has worked with developing social communication and used visuals would be great, as this would help him build a routine that he is comfortable with. As the pupil needs help working with his and others’ emotions, someone who has experience in helping young people with emotional regulation would be ideal. The pupil would also benefit from having a tutor who is encouraging and positive, as this would help ease his anxiety.

About ASEND
ASEND is a highly specialist SEND business, placing dedicated SEND professionals in schools and services throughout the UK.
In 2019 we were asked to support our first pupil at their home because the school felt they couldn’t meet his needs any further and they stopped attending. That pupil then successfully transitioned into a new school place and we were asked to support another young person. Over the next four years we have supported children and young people across numerous London Boroughs, Local Authorities just outside London and various schools. Many of whom made it into a new school or return to their school with the support of our bespoke tutoring service.
We see ourselves as a SEND company rather than a recruitment agency, meaning we do more than just staffing for SEN education. Our Directors all have a unique understanding of SEND and between them share a wealth of knowledge and experience unparalleled in the field. Our team all have a passion for helping young people with SEN overcome barriers and progress. Your experience with us and our young people will therefore feel very different from what you may normally expect.
If you are seeking a truly rewarding position and are passionate about enriching the lives of young people, then do not hesitate to apply now and one of our specialist teams will review your application.
