SEN Teaching Position – Newham
Academics are looking for a SEN teacher for an good rated 3 form entry primary school located within walking distance of a tube station.
The headteacher is looking to appoint an innovative, ambitious and enthusiastic SEN teacher. This Newham based primary school requires a SEN teacher to work with a group of 12 special needs students. You will be working with multiple experienced learning support assistants and leading them.
The primary school is linked with a specialist SEN school nearby who support with curriculum so there will be plenty of resources at your disposal. We are looking for someone to start in February on a long term supply basis with the primary school. The successful applicant should have experience of meeting SEN needs of students with autism and ADHD from EYFS – Lower KS2.
All mainstream experience will be considered as long as you have a good understanding and keen interest in supporting SEN. You will be doing a combination of group/1:1 and working with other members of the SEN team and 12 students. The primary school would look to use your strengths. This position is initially funded for 2 years with strong potential for this to be extended.
This is a well-resourced primary school in the inner London borough of Newham. The headteacher is vastly experienced and is looking for a strong SEN teacher to come in and make a real difference in the school.
