Your new role and responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to the SEN curriculum standards.
Provide high quality teaching that will enable pupils to make progress not just academically, but socially and emotionally.
Ability to communicate with and encourage children with additional needs.
Support and guide children to ensure that they feel valued and safe at all times.
Safeguarding children.
Liaise with SLT and parent’s/ guardians regarding pupils progress and any concerns that may arise.
Ensure children are motivated and having fun during their lessons.
Adapt delivery of lessons to pupils needs.
Qualifications:
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
Previous classroom teaching experience in a similar role.
Good understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and knowledge of the latest teaching methods.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Calm, patient and resilient approach.
Able to adapt to each child’s needs.
