SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School, Barking and Dagenham

Position: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: Barking and DagenhamStart Date: September 2024

Daily Rate: £90-£100 per day

Job Description:An inclusive primary school in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will work closely with our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to support students with a variety of learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt classroom materials and strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for education.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable).
