SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT

Truro

We are looking for dedicated and empathetic Special Educational needs Teaching Assistants to join our Teaching Bank.

We work with many schools throughout Cornwall who are looking for specialised and experienced Teaching Assistants to work closely with students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups as well as classroom support.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students with their learning activities

• Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure students’ needs are met

• Helping students develop social skills

• Being adaptable to student’s individual needs

We don’t require formal qualifications for the role. However you could be working with students that are vulnerable, who may have low self-esteem and may be disengaged with education. The role will require someone who is dedicated and compassionate with the students, where you will have to be flexible to tailor your teaching/support style to each individual’s needs.
