SEN Teaching Assistants (SEMH) Required in Ely!

Reed Education are working in partnership with a fantastic SEN school in the Ely area, and due to expansion of the school, we are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team as soon as possible!The School:

• Specialises in Social, Emotional and Mental Health
• Highly regarded and well-established SEN school
• Provides individualised educational programmes and tailored curriculum to meet specific needs
• Caters for primary and secondary aged students
• Highly supportive Senior Leadership Team
• Offer off-site enrichment activities

The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Full time, term time only (39 weeks of the year)
• To provide support in the classroom for students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties
• To work on a 1:1 basis or in small groups of up to 8 students
• Supporting students with their social and emotional development
• Work alongside teaching staff, to provide safe and positive learning environments

What we are looking for:

• Experience of working with challenging behaviour (ideally in a similar setting)
• Experience of working in a support role (TA, LSA, Support Worker)
• An understanding of special needs (work related, volunteering or personal experience)
• Enhanced DBS check (we can support you with this)
• Supportive, patient, resilient and have a positive approach
• Ability to adapt to challenging situations
