The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, including physical, emotional, and learning difficulties. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Individualised Support: Provide tailored support to students, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential in Autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
2. Progress Monitoring: Track students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents to ensure their educational development.
3. Emotional Support: Create a nurturing and safe environment, offering emotional support and encouragement to students.
4. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the students’ education.
5. Inclusion: Promote a sense of belonging and inclusion for students with special educational needs within the school community.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students with special educational needs succeed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with the school team.
• Previous experience in supporting students with special educational needs is advantageous.
