Academics are working with a warm and inclusive small rural primary school dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for all their pupils based on the outskirts of Cheadle.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work on an ongoing basis, providing 1:1 support to a pupil in the reception class. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the pupil’s learning and development, ensuring a positive and inclusive educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualized learning plans.
• Provide tailored support to meet the specific needs of the pupil.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with the pupil’s personal care requirements if necessary.
• Collaborate with other school staff and parents to ensure a holistic approach to the pupil’s development.
• Monitor and record the pupil’s progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Relevant experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
• A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Working Hours: Full time ongoing
