Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for CYP in need of alternative provision. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SLD/MLD /HLTA’s/tutors/teachers.

We are currently recruiting for SLD/MLD SEND Support Assistants to provide face to face provision to SEND Students who need access to Alternative provision. The role is to start ASAP.

Location – Letchworth Garden City
Position – SLD/MLD SEND Support Assistant
Start date – ASAP
End date (if applicable) – ongoing
Contract type – Temporary
Full time/part time – Part time and Full time available
Rate of pay £20-£25 per hour
Hours – Tuition takes place between 0830am and 1630pm

We are looking for candidates who are:-

Available during school hours up to 30 hours per week.
Experienced in supporting tutors delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
Experience supporting young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD/SLD
Exceptional behaviour management strategies.
Prepared to work face to face within the community.

Requirement

Special needs HLTA/TA must have SEN/SEBD/ASD/SEMH experience
Special needs LSA’s must have Secondary or Primary experience
