Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment, a Sunday Times Top 100 employer, is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a role in a vibrant school in Goole. As a valued member of the team, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support and guidance to ensure the success of students with special educational needs.

This is a term-time-only position, with working hours from 08:30 to 15:30 on a full-time basis, offering a competitive pay range of £80 to £90 per day.

Responsibilities:

• Undertaking the daily supervision and teaching of students in school
• Creating personalized timetables for students
• Ensuring students have access to the curriculum during their placement
• Liaising with the Headteacher/SLT to ensure students have access to suitable resources
• Providing behavioral and emotional support for students
• Liaising with the SENDCO to ensure students receive additional learning support during their placement
• Tracking and monitoring the progress of students
• Developing positive relationships with students based on mutual respect
• Consistently implementing the school’s positive behavior system
• Working effectively within a team, supporting colleagues and seeking support when needed
• Taking responsibility for your own professional development, including attending relevant CPD events and identifying personal developmental targets
• Collaborating with colleagues within the Trust and with other schools to share examples of best practice

Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications and experience in the education sector.
• Knowledge and understanding of the needs of students with SEND.
• Ability to create engaging and effective personalized timetables.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
