The role
The University of Exeter is seeking to make an appointment in Electronic Engineering within the Department of Engineering. The University welcomes applications which build on Exeter’s growing research strengths in this area and face our research and teaching needs within the department.
Research expertise in the area of energy harvesting, manipulation and capture (e.g. using vibration, sound, wind, human movement, solar), especially exploiting metamaterials-based approaches, is particularly welcome.
The position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Electronic Engineering will be based in the Nano Engineering Science and Technology (NEST) research group ( ) led by Professor C David Wright. NEST carries out research in the area of nanoscale electronic and photonic materials, devices and systems for memory, computing, sensing and energy applications. The group is part of the Department of Engineering led by Professor David Butler FREng ( ). Engineering currently has over 80 academic staff across our Exeter (Streatham) and Cornwall (Penryn) campuses. Academics in Streatham have particular expertise in nano-engineering, vibration engineering, materials and manufacturing, water systems, computational analysis and biomedical engineering.
