About The Role of Senior Teacher

The school is an innovative new provider for 8-18-year-old pupils with Special Educational Needs located in Staffordshire. We are a small special school, which provides a personalised education for up to 20 pupils with severe complexity of needs, primarily learning disabilities but also associated health or physical disabilities, and other behaviours which challenge.

Our clients schools, believe all teachers are, primarily teachers of children, before being teachers of subjects. Central to this role is knowing the child, building professional, nurturing and positive relationships and motivating students.

Despite being a secondary provision, they require a teacher who is versatile and can teach across a range of curriculum subjects from primary to GCSE. Accordingly, this role will suit a primary or secondary trained teacher.

The Ideal Senior Teacher will have:

• Additional responsibilities include deputising for the Head teacher, when she is off the premises.
• Experience working as a Senior teacher with further responsibilities
• Experience working with children with SEMH, complex learning needs, Autism and ADHD, as well as other additional learning needs.

• A DBS on the update service or be willing to have a new one processed
