Media, Business and Digital Industries Re-engagement Sessional Lecturer
Approx 15 Hours a week, required as soon as possible
Grade 4/5 £25.47 per hour
We are looking for a well-qualified, experienced and inspirational lecturer to design, implement and deliver our departmental re-engagement programme. You will introduce a curriculum and possible qualification options to support learners who may be experiencing challenges on their current programme of study.
The successful applicant should have a relevant degree and teaching qualification and recent relevant experience of designing and delivering a curriculum based around motivating and re-engaging young people within education.
You will work closely with colleagues across the whole department to ensure that you will be able to deliver high quality planned sessions to students which are active and engaging, motivating, provide high levels of challenge and support progress through ongoing feedback in a variety of forms to ensure that students can achieve their full potential.
You will carry out all organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking associated with teaching responsibilities including (but not limited to) the provision of lesson plans, schemes of work and assessment schedules.
In addition to the planning and teaching of the re-engagement courses, the successful applicant will use their professional skills and industrial experiences to support students with developing their employability and transferable soft skills they will need to progress into their chosen employment route, apprenticeship or university course.
