Prospero Teaching are working closely with a secondary school in Wigan who are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is ambitious and has an excellent work ethic to join their team from September 2024. The school has a very positive outlook and a “can/do” approach amongst staff and students. A strong learning culture is evident because there is an acknowledgement that they are all learners, and they can all improve.

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status
– The ability to teach Spanish up to KS4
– A thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum changes for Spanish
– An enthusiasm and passion for the teaching of Spanish
– Excellent subject knowledge

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location – Wigan
• Position – Spanish Teacher
• Type of work – Supply Teacher
• Start date – September 2024
• Duration / Likely Duration – Long term, with the potential for extension depending on school
• End date (if applicable) – N/A
• Contract type – Temporary
• Full time/part time – Part time and full time depending on schools needs
• Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate 120 per day
• Hours – 8:30 am – 4pm (full day), half day (am or pm), individual lesson cover

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
