Protocol Education are looking for teaching assistants or learning support assistants from creative backgrounds such as acting, drama, musical backgrounds to work in an outstanding special needs college Southwark. As a teaching assistant you will working both one to one and within a class supporting both your peers and students in a positive and engaging environment. Successful candidates will encourage students development, engage through sensory play & interaction, understanding social cues & skills, teaching independent living with students that have a diagnosis of special needs such as autism, speech and language difficulties and severe learning disabilities, physical disabilities. This particular school are looking for teaching assistant that can apply their creative skills within a specialist setting and maintain an engaged and fulfilling learning experience.
Main Duties:
Engaging students through interactive and creative activities
Helping with sensory integration within the classroom
Working with the teacher to assess pupils’ levels and ability
Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
Liaising with parents and carers
