Protocol Education are currently recruiting specialist Teaching Assistants to work in an OFSTED outstanding SEN school located in Loughborough, Leicestershire.
This school has been consistently judged to be outstanding by Ofsted for many years and boasts excellent facilities. The school caters for children, aged 4 – 19 years old, with a range of special educational needs including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties as well as learners on the Autistic Spectrum and those with Visual Impairments.
As a teaching assistant you will be expected to create an environment that will make each student feel comfortable and become confident, independent life-learners who can express themselves and their choices, whilst safeguarding their happiness and safety.
Successful candidates will be able to focus on numeracy, literacy, sensory development within classes.
In this role, you will be expected to:
*work with students on a 1:1 basis as well as small groups of students
*assist with lunchtimes
*offer support to the Teacher and other Teaching Assistants within the classroom environment
*support the learners in class on a one-to-one basis with Numeracy and Literacy
*assist with the personal care of the students as required

*have the right to work within the UK
*hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be wiling to apply for one (cost of £40)
*be a compassionate individual with a strong work ethic
In addition, it is beneficial for you to have:
*experience working/supporting Children or Adults with Learning Difficulties or Autism
*experience in a school or health care setting
