Specialist Teaching Assistant Job
Your new company
Hays Education are continuing to work with Primary Schools across Nottingham and Derby to ensure they have all of the correct staff they need in March when Schools re-open. We are currently working with a mainstream Primary School North of Derby who are looking for an experienced and hard working Teaching Assistant who has experience working with Children with ADHD and Autism.
Your new role
You will be working in a mixed year 3/4 class alongside the class teacher, and will provide 1:1 and small group support to the Children who need additional help. Within the class there are 2 children with ADHD and 1 Child with Autism who are often triggered by sensory overload. Both full time and part time applications will be considered.
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you must have recent and relevant experience working in Schools as well as having experience with SEND Children. You will have excellent behaviour management and be able to deescalate and handle challenging situations in a calm and considered manner. You will be passionate about giving all children an equal opportunity to succeed and be able to identify and implement different techniques that work for each child to ensure optimum development.
