About the Role

As a STEM Outreach Co-ordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our outreach initiatives, building on existing and creating new strategic links, engaging with schools, colleges, and businesses to inspire the next generation of STEM enthusiasts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and strengthen relationships with schools, colleges, and out-of-school groups to promote STEM subjects and careers
• Organise teacher and STEM Ambassador networking events
• Secure Nuffield Research placements and drive awareness/recruitment of Year 13’s in schools
• Develop strategic links with Space industry businesses, recruiting and activating Space Ambassadors
• Plan and Deliver aerospace industry awareness activities through creating engaging content
• Advise and work with teachers and organisers to connect with STEM and SPACE Ambassadors
• Support and develop existing relationships with STEM Ambassadors and businesses
• Recruit new companies and STEM Ambassadors, ensuring diversity in volunteer representation
• Collect and evaluate data on Ambassador activities, producing impactful case studies
• Collaborate with local and regional STEM Partners and enrichment providers
• Record all data on the STEM Learning database and internal documents
• Attend meetings, training, and events as required
• Other duties and reporting progress as needed

Requirements:

• Knowledge of the education sector and local STEM industry awareness
• UK driver’s license, including insurance cover for business use purposes
• Office-based role with travel to schools and other sites across Leicestershire and Derbyshire
• Occasional travel to meetings and training in the East Midlands
• Occasional duties outside normal working hours with overtime paid as time off in lieu.

Location: Leicestershire & Derbyshire (Office-based in Leicester)

Salary & Benefits:

• Basic Pay: £24,000 to £25,000 per annum
• Full-time position (37.5 hours per week, Mon to Fri)
• Work from home flexibility after probation
• 25 days holiday plus 8 bank public holidays
• Time off in Lieu flexible working system
• Company Pension Scheme (10% contribution)
