We are recruiting a Teacher of Plumbing to join our Building Services team based at our historic Roundhouse Campus in Pride Park, Derby. This role will be eligible for the new Government Levelling Up Premium Payments for Further Education (FE) teachers if you are in your first 5 years of teaching within FE. These payments range from £2,000 to £6,000 for the academic year 2024-25.
The Opportunity
Within this role you will be pivotal to the success of the Plumbing team within the Building Services provision delivering to students from across the East Midlands. The team you’ll be joining is energetic, with colleagues ranging from new teachers to experienced educators with years of experience within the construction industry and education.
You’ll be working with learners ranging from 16 to 18 years old and adult learners on a variety of courses including full time students and Apprenticeships (Level 2 and Level 3). Through the delivery of engaging teaching, learning and assessment, you will ensure they gain an in depth understanding of subjects such as;
About you
You will ideally possess industry experience in the relevant field, along with a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in the subject. We seek an individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for imparting their knowledge and experience of the construction sector and plumbing trade to the next generation of plumbers.
