Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess quality lessons tailored to the individual needs of each student, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Attend to the personal needs of students, including feeding and changing, with a compassionate and respectful approach.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within small class settings.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide a holistic and cohesive support system for students with SEND.
• Maintain open and regular communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies to support learning at home.
• Stay current with best practices in SEND education and participate in relevant training to enhance personal and professional growth.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent SEND teaching qualification.
• An Enhanced DBS or the willingness to obtain one.
• Deliver instruction in an effective and age-appropriate manner.
• Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
• Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum guidelines.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience.
