Salary Range: SCP10 SCP12 (£25,545.00 – £26,421.00 FTE) salary to be pro rata
Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment
Working Type: Full Time 35 hours / 39 weeks

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Kirk Balk Academy a Northern Education Trust Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide support to teachers and students to improve the progress and attainment of students across different year groups.
Kirk Balk Academy is a mixed, 11-16 academy recently graded as Good in all areas at its latest Ofsted inspection. We are currently experiencing a growing number of students on roll, and a positive trend in examination results.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Build positive relationships with all children, staff and parents.
Work closely with other colleagues and key stakeholders to remove barriers to learning.
Support interventions with students who require additional mentoring.
Promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with special needs under the direction of a class teacher/inclusion Manager.
Work with small groups and individual students across Key Stage 3 and 4 as required
