Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Mickleover, Derby

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with classroom teachers in delivering engaging and efficacious lessons
• Support classroom and behaviour management
• Assist with individual students or small groups to offer additional support and guidance
• Foster a positive and all-inclusive learning atmosphere
• Uplift and inspire students to attain their full potential
• Work closely with the teaching staff to design and implement educational plans
• Lend a hand with administrative tasks when necessary
• Promote the overall well-being and development of the students

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in working with primary school children
• A deep-seated passion for education and resolute commitment to students’ success
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a constructive demeanour
• Capability to function within a team and follow guidance from classroom teachers
• Devotion to safeguarding and promotion of children’s welfare

Desired Qualifications:

• Possession of a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous
• Holding a First Aid certification is a positive asset
• Familiarity with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a plus
